The Tulane Center for Gene Therapy has received a grant from the NIH to provide well characterized adult stem cells to researchers worldwide upon request. 

These cells are isolated and characterized in the laboratory of Dr. Darwin Prockop from bone marrow stroma of human, mouse and rat, and may be differentiated into mineralizing cells, adipocytes and chondrocytes.

 

Protocols for Expansion are provided. 

Human Adult MSCs
Distributed frozen in 2 vials, each containing approximately 1 million cells
Some cells also available transfected with cytoplasmic maker GFP and/or mitochondrial markers MitoRed/MitoBlue
Negotiable handling charge of $150

Rat Adult MSCs
From adult male Lewis rats
Provided as a single vial containing approximately 300,000 to 500,000 cells
Negotiable handling charge of $100

Mouse Adult MSCs
From C57Bl/6J mice and C57Bl/6J expressing a GFP gene (ACTbEGFP and 1Osb)
Provided as a single vial containing approximately 300,000 to 500,000 cells
Negotiable handling charge of $100
