The Tulane Center for Gene Therapy has received a grant from the NIH to provide well characterized adult stem cells to researchers worldwide upon request. These cells are isolated and characterized in the laboratory of Dr. Darwin Prockop from bone marrow stroma of human, mouse and rat, and may be differentiated into mineralizing cells, adipocytes and chondrocytes.
