About the BLCB

The Stem Cell Bank of Barcelona (BLCB) is a functional unit of the CMR[B], dedicated to the derivation, maintenance, characterisation and preservation of embryonic stem cells, with the aim of developing research activities in the area of regenerative medicine. In terms of infrastructure, the Bank comprises cell culture, characterisation and cryobiology laboratories.

The principal midterm objective of the BLCB project will be to achieve the capacity to create cell lines free from xenobiotics and in GMP conditions to obtain material useable in clinical research. The close collaboration between the BLCB and the CMRB research laboratory will enable an optimisation of the culture conditions with the aim of carrying out research in the therapeutic field.  Its mission will be to generate a record of stem-cell lines, with the aim of improving research in the area of embryonic stem cells with its own research projects.

Available Lines and their Characterization:

ES2 Cell Line
ES3 Cell Line
ES4 Cell Line
ES5 Cell Line
ES6 Cell Line

Research Topics:

Human embryonic stem cell (hESC) culture methods
New hESC lines derivation
GMP workflow development for hESC lines derivation

Love them! I've had 3 previous pairs of Oakley Half Jacket (and sadly, lost all 3--although I did oakley sunglasses on sale have the last pair for nearly 3 years). This was my first time trying the XLJ shape, and I love the extra coverage, the slight peripheral protection they provide. My eyes are very sensitive to sunlight, and the Oakley lenses seem to be the only ones that work for me. I like these Iridiums--they're gray. Pretty snappy, yet understated. Fits great, even though I had read these are better for Asians with slightly larger faces. I have a small head, so I had some concerns before I got them. SO HAPPY!!
