Our senior editors are delighted to celebrate the scientific advances made by a young investigator whose research has advanced our understanding of stem cell biology, thus fostering the future of their clinical applications. “We are doubly honored to make this award in partnership with the City and University of Kragujevac, Serbia on October 15, 2011,” said Dr. Martin J. Murphy, executive editor of STEM CELLS.

“The journal STEM CELLS is the oldest and most respected journal devoted to stem cell research and regenerative medicine. The Stem Cell symposium is pleased to partner with this world-class journal,” said Professor Miodrag Stojkovic, Editor and Director of Centre for Stem Cell Biology.

The STEM CELLS Young Investigator Award honors a young scientist who is principal author of a significant research paper published in STEM CELLS. This prize is currently co-sponsored by the City and University of Kragujevac, with the winner presenting at the 2011 Symposium. The STEM CELLS Editors support the efforts of these emerging researches and encourage the development of these young investigators who are making significant impacts in this field.
