Signaling Pathways Controlling TNBC CSCs

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are thought to play a significant role in tumor development, therapy resistance, and progression of triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC). The development of novel therapies targeting CSCs may help to overcome the poor prognosis of TNBC. Now, a new STEM CELLS concise review from Sidse Ehmsen and Henrik J. Ditzel (University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark) provide an overview of crucial signaling pathways that regulate the proliferation and survival of TNBC CSCs in the hope of highlighting new means to inhibit tumor‐initiating ability and therapy resistance.
