Tendinopathy Treatment with Adipose Micro-grafts

A new STEM CELLS Translational Medicine article from the lab of Francesco De Francesco (Ospedali Riuniti Torrette di Ancona, Ancona, Italy) reports on the treatment of tendinopathy with adipose micro-grafts in an ovine model. Palumbo Piccionello et al. established that animals treated with the stromal vascular fraction of adipose tissue (adipose micro-grafts) exhibited a final tendon diameter and a percentage hardness expression similar to the healthy tendon.
